Free Comic Book Day 2021 is August 14 and 15, and vaccinations are required for anyone over 12

TL;DR Free Comic Book Day at Comics Place is Saturday and Sunday, August 14 and 15. Both days will be open to fully vaccinated people and children under 12. Please come in and get your tickets before the 14th.

FCBD is usually held in May, but this year, believe it or not, things are different.

Instead of one day, we'll be hosting FCBD for TWO DAYS! Saturday, August 14 and Sunday, August 15. We will be splitting available free comics between the two days, so you'll get the same shot at getting the issues you want no matter what day you come!

In order to protect the kids who frequent our shop, as well as our staff and YOU, Free Comic Book Day 2021 at Comics Place will be open only to fully vaccinated people 12 and up and children under 12. We're also asking that if you are sick with any COVID-19 symptoms, that you stay home. If you can't make it in because of illness, please call us, and we'll grab you some free comics for when you're feeling better.

HOW DO I GET MY TICKET?
Come to our shop during open hours any time between now and August 14 to show your vaccination card and get tickets. You'll need proof of vaccination for all the adults planning to attend. We are asking that you have at least one adult for every two under-12 kids you're bringing. We'll take your name and email address, and you'll be on the list to get in on the big days!

HOW WILL YOU MANAGE THE CROWDS?
Hopefully really well. On Saturday, August 14 and Sunday, August 15, we'll be letting a handful of people into the store at a time.

DO I NEED A PHYSICAL TICKET?
Nope! If you’ve already come into the store and given your proof of vaccination, we will also we storing a record of your ticket in our system! You can even come in and out of

WILL MASKS BE REQUIRED?
Yes. We require masks in our store at all times, regardless of the special event.

WILL THERE BE BIG SALES?
Yep! We always have SOME sort of awesome sale going for FCBD. I'd tell you it's a secret, but we're probably still trying to figure out exactly what the sales will be. So it's a secret from us too, I guess.

I'M NOT FULLY VACCINATED, AND WON'T HAVE MY SECOND SHOT BEFORE AUGUST 14! CAN I STILL GET FREE COMICS?
We'll be open Wednesday-Sunday the week after FCBD, and we plan to hold a handful of the FCBD books back for folks who couldn't make it in on the day.
