The thief Nezumi witnesses the Black Goblin Gang murder Kubo. The gang pins the murder on Nezumi. Nezumi informs Usagi and Ishida of the truth but refuses to turn himself in, knowing he would be executed for robbery instead of murder. Usagi discovers the Toady following him and pursues the Toady into an alley where the Black Goblin Gang snare Usagi in a net.

Usagi hears how General Toda became a monster after his defeat in the marble tournament. As Chibi Usagi goes to sleep, Toda appears in the nearby wilderness.
