Namor travels to the Pacific Ocean to seek an alliance with Lemuria, only to find its throne usurped by a green-skinned shrew named Llyra, a hybrid like himself. Llyra uses her telepathic control of sea creatures to subdue Namor, but with the help of Llyra?s mother, Namor escapes. In the ensuing battle, Llyra appears to perish.
