A formless alien takes over a Khundian warship, and after giving itself a temporary body, heads to Earth to acquire a permanent one, thereafter to begin its takeover of the universe. On Earth, Matrix / Supergirl, now being mentored by Elizabeth Perske, Lex Luthor's ex-wife, is dealing with laser beams gone wild when the warship hovers overhead. The being, calling itself Lord Dichon, manages to capture Supergirl and turn her back to her original protoplasmic form, in preparation for using her as its new permanent body.

Argus's armored outfit is destroyed during a fight with the son of wealthy arms dealer Lee Anne Mosher. His contact for supplies at a bar, MacAlistaire, wants too much money for a new outfit and Argus, his job a federal mole, can't convince the armorer at work to give him any. Fed up, he finally decides to pay MacAlistaire's price.

The currently powerless Alan Scott fights the ghosts of three of his former Justice Society comrades, causing his body to become imbued with the power of the Starheart. Since he relinquished his Green Lantern name and his ring to Kyle Rayner, he decides to call himself 'Sentinel' now. He is unaware that the ghosts were conjured up by the sorcerer Torquemada in another plane of existence, so that Alan would be forced to regain powers and help to fight off the coming of the Evil One.

  • Ghosts - Alan Scott changes name to Sentinel.
  • - Letters from: James Morin, Jacob Gilbert, Joey Marchese, and Tim Royer reviewing SHOWCASE '94 #10 (October 1994). Also includes DC publisher credits, next issue blurb, and cover credits.
