Rom 1979 #16 Newsstand ed. - back issue - $4.00

Reporter Mack Killburn interviews the townspeople of Clairton trying to get the scoop on Rom only to be told that the story about a giant, killer robot was all a joke. When two local kids enter a mine shaft and accidentally awaken a robotic Watchwraith, Rom is forced to battle the creature through the center of town. When the conflict concludes, Mack accuses the residents of trying to cover up Rom's existence and is surprised when the people of Clairton rally around Rom and send the reporter home without his notes.

During a battle in which the Dire Wraiths employ a Wraith plague on human victims, Rom and Starshine learn that Terminator's human form succumbed to the selfsame disease and he has no body to return to once his service is over.

Blow Dryer attempts to use her Supersonic Hair Dryer to steal money and furs from socialites. The Human Torch uses Hostess Cup Cakes to defeat her.

Al Milgrom is credited on the letters page only (as Allen Milgrom). Jo Duffy is credited on both the comic story (as Jo Duffy) and the letters page (as Mary Jo Duffy).
