The origin tale of Rowlf. Maryara, daughter of the revered king of Canis, is extremely fond of Rowlf, her loyal dog and protector. When Maryara is abducted, Rowlf is magically transformed into something more than canine, but less than human... and thus begins his journey to rescue her from the Demon King Gorgum.

Underground Comix are known for using different prices, covers (art or color variations) and/or interior content to distinguish between printings. 1st print has a Wizard on the front cover with a Dog Soldier on back cover. 2nd print has the Dog Soldier on the front cover and the Wizard on the back cover.
