A down-on-his-luck bum finds a mysterious book that is somehow chronicling his life. When he looks at future pages, he sees he becomes rich by betting on horse races. He does so and becomes wealthy. While visiting a construction site, he notices the future pages are blank. Suddenly a falling beam kills him. One of the construction workers notices the book and now finds it's chronicling his life.

A student reporter looking for a scoop sees a strange old wax museum materialize across the street. When he investigates, he realizes that the house is full of aliens wearing wax figure disguises. He flees and calls the cops. The police arrive only to see the museum morph into a spaceship and fly off. The aliens turned out to be student reporters and, dismayed they couldn't get a story, leave Earth.

Thieves try to rob an ancient old man who lives alone in a huge house. But the old man possesses supernatural powers and steals souls from his victims that he keeps in bottles, including the souls of the men who dared to try to rob him.
