A secret government cabal led by Henry Peter Gyrich, has Red Ronin appear off the shore of New Jersey to lure the newly-formed team of Avengers into a surprise attack by the Thunderbolts. When the Avengers arrive, Red Ronin gets teleported away and the Thunderbolts attack.
- - Contains some artwork from the cover of New Thunderbolts (Marvel, 2005 series) #7 (June 2005).
- Ditch - Red Ronin was previously seen in the annual Wolverine '96 (1996) under control of the Fujikawa Corporation. He would next appear (in a one page panel) assisting the Thunderbolts in Thunderbolts #107 (December 2006). While he does appear on one page in New Avengers #24 (November 2006), it's via a flashback of the Sentry's mind-altering powers.
