Love and Rockets 1982 #18 - back issue - $6.00
A sickness has struck the residents of Palomar. While the moaning Bruja roams the town looking for the skull that was taken from her, newly appointed deputy sheriff Tonantzin patrols the town as a nasty storm approaches. Geraldo comes across the sick hallucinating Guadalupe and picks her up to take her to the doctor. Chelo stops and points a gun at him. He grabs Tonantzin and points a gun at her, but the gun isn't loaded. Luba climbs out of the hole she was in with skull in hand. The Bruja grabs the skull. Soon after, the clouds lift, the sickness goes away and everything goes back to normal.
Doyle is helping Maggie and Hopey junk their sleeper sofa, but it's too heavy to bring up the hill to burn. The duo chat with the now-married Penny Century at Mrs. Galindo's wake. Hopey keys a poorly parked car after picking up some guitar picks at the music store, but the car alarm goes off. Later on, she finds one of Izzy's secret diaries (titled The Secrets of Life and Death vol. 5) while unpacking at Terry's place. Maggie's Aunt Vicki, who has lost her wrestling title, tells her she can stay at her place. Maggie accepts, but only because she feels sorry for her.
