- The End of the Inhumans...and the Fantastic Four - Story separated into chapters. Chapter 1 Hither Comes... Crystal! Chapter 2 Hollywood, Here We Are! Chapter 3 Battle for the Great Refuge! Chapter 4 ...And Into -- Space! Chapter 5 The Sphinx! In the second chapter, Hollywood is making a Fantastic Four movie using a giant robot to play the Thing that malfunctions and goes on a rampage. Ultimately the Thing defeats the robot by beheading it with a giant gong after the fight crashes the set of "The Gong Show". The robot is a spoof of the giant Robot Kong that was built for the 1976 remake of King Kong. The director of the picture (Mr. Lorenzo) is a spoof of Dino De Laurentiis, while the special effects man (Luigi Cantalope) is a spoof of Carlo Rambaldi.
