Kro and his Deviants flee in their vessel from the destruction levied on the Incan chamber with the landing of the enormous Celestial spaceship. Ikaris opens a resurrection chamber and is pleased when Ajak, a fellow Eternal, emerges. With the ability to communicate with the gods, Ajak calls to them, announcing they are ready to learn the gods new plan. Pylons rise up and a gigantic figure lowers itself to stand atop them. It is the Celestial Arishem, leader of the Fourth Host, and judge, and he is to remain there for fifty years, at which time he will decide whether Earth lives or dies.

Kirby explains the links between ancient beliefs and new technologies, and how these ties are an inspiration for the Eternals.

Stan announces third volume of the Origins series will feature Marvel villains. In Items, Marvel will start sending subscription copies unfolded, No Prize policy is restated, and Marvel is working up a list of which colleges offer courses in comic books.

The Red Skull tries to take over the United States before the bicentennial and uses the Cosmic Cube to transport Captain America to him. Captain America is able to stop him when he gives the Cosmic Cube a Hostess Twinkie and it stops obeying the Red Skull

Bulletman joins Eagle-Eye G.I. Joe?s Adventure Team when he helps save a town from drowning in a flood.
