Controlled by the Ultraviolet light, John Stewart attacks the League, but is stopped by Cyborg. Inside the Totality, Superman and J'onn, with Batman and Hawkgirl inside their bodies, deal with strange forces, unaware that Luthor is also inside Superman's body and has a plan of his own. Freed from the influence of the Ultraviolet light, John warns the League about Umbrax, a sentient black sun of a phantom galaxy that moves through space feeding on worlds, which was previously imprisoned but is now free.
