Hal Jordan and Hector Hammond engage in a mental battle for control of Hal's power ring.

A tired Green Lantern rests while telling the story that follows in this issue, and his ring warns him of General Fabrikant.

Hector Hammond has been stealing bits of Green Lantern's power, and culminates the attacks by stealing it all and trapping Green Lantern. However, Green Lantern breaks free, recharges, and simply keeps Hammond busy until the stolen power runs out.

Green Arrow uses special arrows to save a cable car from falling when its cable breaks, and also sends Hostess Fruit Pies to the children inside awaiting rescue.
