While on the road, Ghost Rider crashes and has to make his way as Johnny to the nearest town where he is accosted by The Orb looking for revenge. Roxanne is trying to track down her beau in the same town but is confronted by The Orb who steals her memories. After helping Ghost Rider fight off The Orb and his gang, Brahma Bill takes advantage of Roxy's situation and tells her she is his girl while Johnny, unaware that she is so close, rides off.

Without his bike and looking for a ride, Johnny is offered a lift by a hippie in a psychedelic dune buggy with the name "The Grass Hut" written on the side. The driver offers our hero what looks like a joint while he tells him, "Take a drag on this. It'll help settle yer nerves for ya!" Johnny refuses and looks for another ride.
