Batman: The Dark Knight 1986 #2 Direct ed. - 9.4 - $50.00
Three printings exist. As appears to have been established practice for DC at this time, the first printing was produced without explicit identification as to printing. The second printing may be mistaken for the first printing because, due to printer?s error, it was produced without a ?Second Printing? notice. The printer, Ronald?s Printing, ran an advertisement in Comics Buyer?s Guide #650 (May 2, 1986) expressing regret for the error, and providing an alternate means of distinguishing between the two printings. Text in the ad says: ?You can tell the first printing from the second by the inside covers: ?The first printing of #2 has a gray ?ghost? image and a ragged edge around the bat-shape. ?The second printing does not.? The text in the ad is accompanied by clear images. The on-sale date is the publication date in the U.S. Copyright Office filing and DC Releases #26.
- Dark Knight Triumphant - Batman takes in Carrie Kelley as the new Robin.
